About this space
Exclusive hire of Duns Castle includes several event spaces. The expansive Drawing Room, retaining period features and offering wonderful views of the lake, seats up to 60 guests. The 14th century Dining Room and the Upper Hall are perfect for weddings with up to 40 attendees. The Billiards Room contains a full-size billiard table, and the gardens can be used for outdoor ceremonies and marquee wedding receptions.
The venue boasts a fully licensed bar which can be moved to the dedicated dance area in the original Servants Hall. Your evening party can be accompanied by a live band, DJ or ceilidh of your choice. After the celebrations draw to an end, up to 23 guests can stay in the on-site bed and breakfast accommodation included in the package. In addition, 7 self-catering cottages can be rented for up to 33 people in total.

About Duns Castle
Celebrate your special occasion against the historic backdrop of a 14th century castle. Surrounded by peaceful parkland, Duns Castle allows you to incorporate archery, falconry, croquet, clay pigeon shooting and other activities into your private event. The stunning estate is used not only for weddings, corporate functions and private parties, but also for photo shoots and filming.
The grounds contain a site of special historic interest – the fort of Duns Law, built in 1639 by General Leslie during the famous uprising against King Charles I, started by the National Covenant. The fort was built on the site of an Iron Age hill fort.
Duns Castle is situated on the outskirts of Duns, a little market town in Scotland. Tourists like visiting Jim Clark Motorsport Museum and there is also a golf club enjoyed by many. The town has good road connection with Berwick-upon-Tweed and Edinburgh, and the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve and Northumberland National Park are within easy reach as well.
