Big space, knowledgable and professional staff - shout out to Michael, Andrea and Ali!! Honestly I was really happy with the venue and I was able to decorate and bring a DJ. The drinks were delicious, the food was delicious, I had a great time and so did my guests! I was also able to book a room in the hotel at a discounted rate and the room was really nice, came with all the facilities I wanted and had lovely toiletries! Thank you for making my birthday party special. I’d definitely come back to Smith’s for an event.

All I can say is my party at Shoreditch Platform was an absolute hit! It was the best 30th birthday party I could ever have hoped for! Celilia was fantastic and very accommodating and very quick to answer my questions or concerns. I was able to decorate the venue however I wanted (which included putting up balloons and backdrops and bringing in light up number signs) I was also able to bring in my own DJ and food as required. Everything I asked for was welcomed and all staff members were very friendly and helpful. My friends and family had an awesome time! I can highly recommend this venue for your party or function as the black and white decor patterns are very cool and there is a lot of flexibility for what you want to achieve. I don't usually leave reviews but I am so grateful to have found this venue that I had to leave a good one!

The George & Monkey is the perfect venue for hosting a birthday party, or any sort of event. It can seat around 30-odd people (probably more) and is a really friendly space with helpful & casual staff.
I had a wonderful 30th birthday here - the room is really picturesque and the pizzas are really good. Everything is incredibly reasonable and with the venue being in Angel, it's a great 'middle ground' for a party if you have mates in London coming from all directions. Edward, who I spoke to about setting up the party, was also incredibly kind and answered all of many many questions. Totally recommend if you're putting on a medium-sized 'do.

The venue offers a great space for a party, it is spacious yet contained, allowing guests to mingle and have enough room for dancing or lounging.
The food was truly nice, and the service beyond spectacular, the room has been dressed up exactly as we wished and for the whole evening we have been truly cared for. We honestly cannot reccomend it more, it has been a dream night, and part of the reason, is that the ambience was exactly what we have hoped for our wedding, and food was truly tasty. Thanks all for making our big day so smooth and lovely!

Good communication with venue leading up to the party. I ended up using the Leicester Square venue which I originally didn't like the look in the photos, but it's actually lovely. Literally across the road from the tube station. Lots of songs, and you can use your phone if the song isn't there. There is a personal bar for the Karaoke room, and the bar tender, Abdul, was the nicest man we ever met! I will definitely use again. Food and Drinks were good value.
